After a long voyage a ship marks arrival at the entrance to the harbor of her destination.... and the work begins. A crash astern test shakes the ship to her bones before she puts her shoulder into the swell. A pilot climbs a jacobs ladder then climbs some more up a ladderwell to the bridge. The engine room switches her from high calorie Heavy Fuel Oil to a power packed energy drink. Lines are passed to the tug and she starts maneuvering with power and skill into her berth.
But after the last line is passed to a bollard, the Captain and pilot agree the lines are secure, the tugs head home and the engineers are told to stand down... after the hard work is completed.... three letters inked in the logbook let the ship know that it's time for a well deserved rest. Those letters are FWE, Finished With Engines.
We selected the absolute softest blend of ringspun cotton with an added touch of polyester (for smoothness and stretch) to produce the most comfortable shirt imaginable to make sure you are warm and comfortable after a full day of work. And FWE in huge letters will let everyone know you are finished.
